SHE REMEMBERS
His warm hands enveloping her cold ones.
The firm grip.
The perfume on his neck.
The broad shoulders,
The strong back.
The soft hair on his hands.
His disarming deep gaze.
The way his hands tucked her hair behind her ear.
And gently caressed her tender lips.
When he tried to manage both the steering wheel and the gears with just one hand
As the other rested on her thigh interlocked with hers.
SHE REMEMBERS
That fateful day.
The confrontation.
The incessant rain of tears.
His indifference.
Her anger.
The sinking feeling.
Her disappointment in him.
In herself.
Regretting knowing him.
All this, as she tries to UN-REMEMBER it all.
